THIS PLACE IS A HIDDEN GEM!! ALL STAFF WAS GREAT, FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL! OWNER WENT OUT OF HIS WAY TO HELP ME WITH CHECKING IN!! SINCE I DIDN'T ARRIVE UNTIL 1:30 AM! YET HE WAS VERY UNDERSTANDING AND HELPFUL!! ROOM WAS CLEAN, BED FIRM BUT NOT HARD! JUST A GREAT PLACE! BLESSINGS

Passing through while on ...

Passing through while on a road trip down California Pacific highway 1. Daily destination unknown so I seldom book a hotel in advance. When arriving in monterey, I started my search with the cheapest hotel, disqualifying any based on cleanliness, upkeep, and service. I arrived with my service dog at 11:00 p.m., the front desk service was excellent. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and speedy. I received a online matched pricing and had no issues with my service dog. The outside of the hotel was well kept and appeared safe. The parking lot had plenty of room and was well lit. Rooms have been well renovated and feature modern conveniences. Everything was clean and well-kept. Bed linens and towels were clean, folded, and professionally presented. Curtains have been replaced with wood shutters providing blackout conditions. In-wall single room HVAC system connected to in-wall thermostat for easy use. Van acoustics a bit loud but consistent with other hotels between similar HVAC in this price range. Bathroom was clean and properly stocked. Water flow just fine, no problems with hot or cold. No issues with sound between rooms or the parking lot. Overall, very happy with my one night stay and would stay again.
